HCL Launches Beanstalk Series

HCL i.e. Hindustan Computers ltd. launched beanstalk series on 1st April 2010.
For the launch they asked us Digital Impressions for an AV (Audio Video Presentation), and most of all the presentation was to be done in just 3 days so we decided to deliver a video production and started working on the storyboard and conceptualization of the video. Finally we decided on a 720p full HD video. The video contains an introduction followed by the features of the much awaited range of PCs and then an end.

We started working on Monday evening and closed the idea and script and right from Tuesday morning 6:00 hrs we started working on the video production and didn't stop till 23:00 hrs a whole day of working without stopping for almost 17 hrs and did the same thing on Wednesday. We finally sent out a DVD on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning did some final changes and delivered on time.

The video is completely made on Adobe Suite ( Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop). The client so much appreciated it and was happy with the presentation which made us feel fresh even after continuous working for almost 3 days.





Altogether it was a nice experience for us as well as the client as they discovered that whether its 1 month or 3 days we never compromise on quality, nevertheless the best feeling is when the client says a big thank you with a relief.

When we met Martin Howard from Tikli Bottom!

Tikli Bottom is a modern Lutyens style four bedroom Indian haveli which is run as a private guest house. Martin Howard is a British National living in India and the proud owner of Tikli Bottom, a beautiful boutique holiday resort near Gurgaon, Delhi NCR.

We at Digital Impressions, when approached for the dynamic website for Tikli Bototm, were of the view that we were meeting a Businessman who like many others was doing well in the Tourism industry and needed a website upgrade for his business.

But boy, were we wrong, not wrong when we say he owns a wonderful beautiful resort, which is much in demand. But Martin is in India for a cause, a cause and a sincere effort to make a difference in the lives of the poor by providing them with free education, Education to the children in the village who want to study but cant afford a school. Martin runs a charitable educational institution by the name BAAS educational Trust (betsinfo.org). The school is funded by the trust and the income & donations from guests at Tikli Bottom.The school also accepts donations from the general public and the details are mentioned on Martin's website . Martin devotes all his time and energy in making the school a big success.

 

It has been very inspiring meeting this man and the wonderful work he is doing for the people in India. For now we can only wish that someday somehow we could do something of the kind to make a difference and give back to the world. All our wishes go out to Martin for the Wonderful work he has been doing in India to help bring that change.

WIN WIN situation for all!



Today, almost a year back in 2009, India was getting ready to vote for the Lok Sabha elections, the focus was on the big fight between the BJP stalwart Lal Krishan Advani and Manmohan Singh, a man well regarded for his diligence and his academic approach to work. During the same period, India was playing the most engaging cricket with New Zealand. Remember this as we used to get up at 4 in the morning to watch the matches while thinking and planning the approach to be taken for an Audio Visual for the then BJP president Rajnath Singh. 





Rajnath Singh was the BJP candidate from Ghaziabad and the AV was to be produced to be released to the media and for the election campaign. All thanks to the Dhonis  and the Bhajjis who made us get up in the wee hours of the mornings, we came up with an excellent idea for the AV. Just like Dhoni's management of Team India and the success he has had, we focused on Ghaziabad and the wonders the good governance and leadership could do. Incidentally Ghaziabad The industrial town of India has been listed by Newsweek among the top 10 dynamic cities of the world. The idea thus was to present the potential that Ghaziabad had and how Rajnath Singh could make a difference.


The concept went well with the BJP and we started working on the Film with the little brief and information provided by the BJP office, it was understandable as everyone was busy with more important things – Planning and strategizing for the elections. All we had now was the internet as our resource to get the information but it was not  of much help. Seems as though the political parties in India haven’t paid much attention to the power of Internet till the recent past. India was doing well in New Zealand and working their way up to be the best side in the world.


The AV at our end was slowly but steadily making good progress and finally we had the movie ready at the end of the third week . The AV was received well by one and all.  Incidentally Manmohan Singh won his seat back as the Prime Minister of India, Team India won the series against New Zealand and Rajnath Singh won the elections in Ghaziabad. Would like to think that directly or indirectly we have contributed in some small way in the victory of both – The Indian Team and Rajnath SIngh. Have all the good memories of March of 2009.

Stories on Flash and more!

It is pretty interesting to note that what was conceptualised as purely a multimedia studio is today a multifaceted web services company. Yes, today Digital Impressions is not only into the creation and development of multimedia movies and flash-based products, but has evolved as a vendor for various other associated services & products such as websites, CMS applications, SEO services and lots more!

In fact this has been a very logical transition, since each medium on the web platform is so interrelated. And indeed we have been privileged to have within our team all the right people who know their job and most importantly how to bring a smile on our clients’ faces.

At the end of the day, it is all about communication, and that is what is so central to our being at Digital Impressions. We are passionate about helping our clients convey their message to their audience in the most innovative way possible.
